Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days. I’ve got a form of vertigo that kicks my butt occasionally. Once it strikes, I’m usually down for a few days.
Anyway, the world has stopped spinning. Well, it hasn’t, but my head has, so off we go.
Today’s post is a little different. I wanted to offer some practical advice as you go about trying to earn a little extra cash with all these wonderful programs and apps. Just a couple little tips that I’ve been finding useful.
- Create a “dummy” email. I’ve mentioned this before, but a lot of these “Get Paid To” (GPT) sites are advertising machines which means as soon as you sign up, you can expect to be receiving a lot of emails and offers from a lot of different companies. Your inbox will be inundated with emails. So I created an email account that I use for the sole purpose of these GPT sites. Gmail, Hotmail, offer a free account as I’m sure a hundred other email hosting sites do as well.
- Create an alias. I’m always a little leery about giving away my personal information so I like to create an alias or avatar. Ooooo, doesn’t that make you feel cool? Like you are a spy or something? Or even better yet, a big blue creature from another planet. Or (and here’s where I may date myself) a really cool oriental kid with super nature powers and who rides a flying air bison…too far?
- “Free” is king. I think I’ve mentioned this in another post, but be very careful if any on these sites asks you for money. These are “Get Paid To” sites, not “Pay to Play” sites. Free should be your magic word as you search for sites or apps that will pay.
Well, like I said, just a few tips but keep them in mind as you go out and earn some quick easy cash.
